What a coalition actually did in year one

Coalition story · Regional (sample)

Year one didn't start with a strategic plan. It started with eight organizations and one sentence they could all sign: parents in the region cannot reliably work because licensed care doesn't match shift schedules.

The first win was small on purpose — a substitute pool that kept three providers from cutting hours. It was visible, it was fast, and it recruited the next twelve members better than any pitch deck.

By month twelve: sixty-four member organizations, two employer champions speaking peer-to-peer, and a monthly update that gets read because it's two paragraphs long. The lesson they'd give any region starting now: pick one win you can land in six months, and publicize it relentlessly.
