## 1. Find openings
**Call 211** or visit **findchildcareoregon.org** — free referral help from
real people, in your language, evenings and weekends included. They know
which licensed programs near you have space.

## 2. Get help paying for it
- **ERDC (Employment Related Day Care):** Oregon's subsidy for working
  families — copays are capped based on income. Ask 211 or your provider
  whether you qualify.
- **Ask your employer.** More [region] employers now offer care benefits —
  a pre-tax savings account (FSA), a monthly stipend, or reserved spots at
  a local program. If yours doesn't, HR may not know these options exist:
  point them to [hub URL]/employers.
- **Preschool Promise / Head Start:** free preschool options if your
  household qualifies — 211 can check with you.

## 3. If you can't find care
Tell someone — it counts. Your regional coalition tracks where care is
missing and uses it to bring new spots to [region]:

Licensed means inspected. Ask any program: ratio in your child's room,
staff tenure, what a hard day looks like. Trust visits over websites.
