# Employer Outreach Email Sequence

*Community Engagement Hub — Coalition Building Toolkit*

Three touches, two weeks apart. Personalize every bracket. Send from a person,
never from an organization account.

## Touch 1 — Introduction (workforce frame)

**Subject:** A workforce question from [Coalition/Org name]

[First name],

Three employers in our region told us the same thing last quarter: they're
losing good people to child care gaps — missed shifts, declined promotions,
resignations they didn't see coming.

We're pulling together a small group of business leaders to compare notes on
what this is costing us locally and what's worked elsewhere. No pitch, no
funding ask — one hour, over lunch, with peers.

Would [date option 1] or [date option 2] work?

[Name, role, phone]

## Touch 2 — Value add (two weeks later, if no reply)

**Subject:** Re: A workforce question — one number

[First name],

One number since I last wrote: Gallup estimates that replacing an employee
can cost one-half to two times their annual salary.* If even two departures
a year trace back to child care, that's real money.

The lunch conversation is still open — [date]. May I hold you a seat?

## Touch 3 — Peer voice (two weeks later)

**Subject:** [Peer employer name] is joining us

[First name],

[Peer name] from [peer company] just confirmed for [date]. They've been
piloting [flexible scheduling / a care stipend] and will share what it's
done for their retention numbers.

If the date doesn't work, I'd welcome 20 minutes at your office instead —
your experience would genuinely shape what we do next.
